Outstanding cutting quality is what sealed the deal on the purchase of three INFINICUT FL22 walk-behind mowers for the club at Bonnyton Golf Club.
The Glasgow venue is known as 'Augusta National's Scottish Sibling', with the 18-hole moorland course boasting a challenging mix of turf and barren greens – all now set for the end of the first phase due to deliver three in March this year. .
Augusta National Architect and world-renowned course designer Dr Alister Mackenzie oversaw the design of Bonnyton Golf Club in the early 1920s, with renovations under the watchful eye of Course Manager R Stuart Macdonald for the past 37 years.
After installing a complete electric mower, Stuart explains that while the INFINICUT's battery power was an added bonus, it wasn't a driving feature.
“We have used pedestrian mowers for as long as I have been around to discover the benefits these bring to play, presentation and plant health. We made sure to explore all the available options – both motor and battery alternatives – to find the best option,” he said. “The consensus was that the design of the fully floating head, along with the precision adjustment and quality of the cut made the INFINICUT the right choice.”

Little things like this make the job much more straightforward.
“Charging them has become a habit and battery life is not in question,” added Stuart. “We have had good comments from members about the state of the vegetables which shows that they are making a positive difference.”
