Golf Business News – Global Golf Brands appoints new UK regional manager
Worldwide Golf Brands has appointed experienced golf marketing specialist Matt Beddoes as Area Sales Manager for Oscar Jacobson, MacGregor, Stuburt, BIG MAX and ZOOM in the South East of England and the Channel Islands.
It starts quickly. Matt brings a wealth of experience in golf retail having previously held the position of shop manager at the Old Thorns Hotel & Resort in Hampshire, as well as golf operations and shop manager at Bowood in Wiltshire. With extensive experience from the other side of the register, Matt is excited to use his knowledge and understanding of the buyer's needs.
“Old Thorns and Bowood are completely different jobs with very specific needs,” notes Matt. “My time together has shown that what suits one golf course will not be the same as another, which is why working with WWGB is so attractive.
“Within these five key brands we have such a wide range of style, product and price point that we will have something to suit any space. Whether it's high-end clothing with OJ, or starter sets with MacGregor, I know I can go into any space with something that will sell well.”
In the coming months Matt plans to begin building relationships with buyers in all of his locations, starting with the pre-spring 2025 book. With exciting new lines, including brand new designs by Oscar Jacobson, as well as the main line and capsule collections of Stuburt's LIV group, the first season will be very busy.
