Golf Business News – HSBC to headline sponsorship of new Legends Tour event in India

HSBC India has become the title partner of the first Legends Tour event in India, which is being played at Jaypee Greens Golf Course in Delhi from August 29 to September 1.

The HSBC India Legends Championship hosted by Jeev Milkha Singh is also sanctioned by the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) and will see 10 Indian golfers participating in the tournament, including host and Legends Tour member Jyoti Randhawa .

Jeev Milkha Singh said: “It will be a big boost for Indian golf. It's special to me, and I'm very excited to be hosting and playing this event at Jaypee Greens. Golf is the fastest growing sport in our country today. There are a lot of promising young players coming out – we have a great junior program, a great professional tour. The way things are going, we will see many professional golfers coming out of India who will be playing on the world stage and making the country proud.”
