Carmelo Anthony Explains What Happened Between Him and Bogdan Bogdanovic at the Olympics
Carmelo Anthony responded to Bogdan Bogdanovic doing his “three to the dome” celebration in front of him at the Olympics.
While some saw the move as disrespectful, Anthony says it was quite the opposite.
“That's my son right there,” Anthony said on the 7PM Brooklyn podcast. “I don't say anything to Bogi. I'm like, as he plays, he makes a shot, 'Oh, I love that Bogi, I see you'. That's how I talk to him. So I appreciate everyone taking my side, but the real sh*t was, he was showing love.
“That was one of the best games I've ever been to.”

“I really wanted to be happy. I'm like, 'I can't show emotions, I just accept what comes with it'. I really want to be like, 'Yo that was crazy'. I wanted to point him out. That was probably one of the biggest games I've ever been to.”
It's worth noting that Bogdanovic has been doing the “three in the dome” celebration for a long time, so this wasn't something he pulled off because Carmelo was there.
And while anyone else using Anthony's iconic celebration could be interpreted as a bold move, the Serbian sharpshooter backed it up with his performance.
Bogdanovic scored 20 points against the US in the semifinals and is averaging 18.3 points per game on 46.2 percent three-point shooting throughout the Olympics.
