Michael Cooper says Luka Doncic is “lazy, doesn't back down on defense”

Former Los Angeles Lakers player and current broadcaster Michael Cooper offered a sharp critique of Luka Doncic.

On his Showtime podcast, Cooper acknowledged Doncic's scoring ability but took issue with his defensive effort.

Cooper noted (h/t Lakers Nation), “Luke [Doncic] it gives you that triple almost every night, but it's too slow for me. If he hadn't scored goals, I would have cut him.” He added, “I give him credit for that, but to me, he's lazy.
