Chelsea are entering the 'final stages' of negotiations to sign the 24-year-old
Chelsea are reportedly close to reaching an agreement with Atletico Madrid to re-sign striker Joao Felix.
The Blues have had another busy summer. Having signed nine first-team players, including Pedro Neto from Wolves, Chelsea have also spent more than £100 million on talent.
And they are not done there.
It is believed to be a two-way street, but apart from the deal for Romelu Lukaku to trade places with Napoli's Victor Osimhen, Chelsea are embroiled in one of Europe's biggest transfer deals in recent history.
There is also the small matter of using Conor Gallagher's future. The Englishman has been dismissed from the Chelsea team and Atletico Madrid are leading the way for his signature.
The Spanish giants have already reached an agreement with Chelsea but the two clubs are yet to finalize a transfer for the midfielder… That could change though.
Joao Felix is close to a return to Chelsea
After Samu Omorodion was Atletico's choice to leave, the deal was successful forcing Chelsea to renegotiate the transfer of a different player – and that player turned out to be former loanee Joao Felix.
The Portugal international spent the second half of the 2022-23 season on loan at Stamford Bridge and appears keen on a return.
And according to a leading transfer expert once CaughtOffside journalist Fabrizio Romano, a 24-year-old with talent is about to complete his return to London.

With details still to be agreed, Chelsea are on the verge of re-signing Felix in a deal that would free Gallagher to complete his long-awaited move to the Metropolitano Stadium.
After Felix, fans will focus on Osimhen and the possibility of the Nigerian leaving Napoli to become Chelsea's new striker.
