Simmons shared the news, noting that there has been credible buzz around Bezos possibly buying the team.
Bezos, one of the richest people in the world, is considered a serious suitor for the Celtics, a franchise considered one of the jewels of the NBA.
Simmons likened Bezos' interest in the Celtics to acquiring a luxury property, such as a $300 million yacht.
