Boxing superstar Martin Bakole is eager to face 'Big Bang' Zhilei Zhang in China
ZHILEI ZHANG and Martin Bakole may be next to fight if Turki Alalshikh gets his way.
The two heavyweight heavyweights are in Alalshikh's plans for a future matchup according to ESPN.
Zhang's momentum from his two victories over Joe Joyce was interrupted when Joseph Parker beat the Chinese fighter on points in March. However, 'Big Bang' returned…
Martin Bakole was on the outside looking in the heavyweight division until earlier this month when he beat Jared Anderson in Los Angeles. The American showed courage against Bakole but the power of the Congolese boxer based in Scotland was too much for Anderson to handle. All this was proven by Alalshikh who played the first Season of Riyadh in America alongside Matchroom and Queensberry.
With the champions – Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois – tied up in fight dates in September and December, competitors like Zhang and Bakole need to stay busy. If the war continues, Alalshikh is looking to Africa or China to host the tournament.
“I would like to fight the big Zhang in December in China,” Bakole told Sky Sports.
“I heard His Excellency wants to fight in China, so that's the fight I'm watching. If that happens I will be very happy.
“I am ready to fight the great Zhang in China in front of his fans. I always fight outside, I went to America and stopped Anderson, I went to Paris and beat Tony Yoka so I would like to go to China and beat Zhang in front of his fans, a fight I would like and I am looking forward to it. ahead.”
Zhang and Bakole have 52 fights between them with only two losses but the most exciting fact is that both of them are demolishing heavyweights who could put up a jaw-dropping fight.
