Leeds are also interested in the Euro 2024 striker alongside Ramazani

After seeing their attack split by Premier League interest this summer, Leeds United have reportedly renewed their interest in signing Bundesliga star Daniel Farke.

Leeds transfer news

The Whites find themselves in dire straits in the final days of the transfer window, losing Crysencio Summerville, Archie Gray, Glen Kamara and, most recently, Georginio Rutter. The attacking midfielder has completed a move to Brighton & Hove Albion to leave the club that helped Leeds reach the play-off final last season in no time.

That being said, as Transfermarkt have highlighted, those at Elland Road have plenty of money to spend on reinforcements, which could reportedly see the likes of Manuel Benson and Largie Ramazani arrive to give Farke some much-needed attacking additions.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Yorkshire club have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Ramazani from Almeria, with the midfielder set to undergo a trial before meeting up with his new team-mates and a possible replacement at Elland Road soon.

According to Graham Smyth of The Yorkshire Evening Post via Leeds All Over and Tim Thornton of Sky Sports, Leeds have renewed their interest in signing Roland Sallai after seeing their first attempts rejected by Freiburg earlier this summer. The situation at the Bundesliga club has now reportedly changed, however, and the 27-year-old is now widely available.

It is reported that the Whites are willing to sign this Premier League midfielder.

Of course, some will remember Sallai for the heartbreak with which he helped get Scotland into Euro 2024, helping Kevin Csoboth's last-minute winner clear Steve Clarke's side and giving Hungary hope that ultimately failed to result in a Group A exit.

Alas, with just over a week left in the summer transfer window, Leeds will have to act quickly if they are to secure the signature of the successful player.

Sallai is “willing” to replace Summerville

Changing Summerville is no easy task. He is a player of Premier League quality, as he is likely to show this season at West Ham United. But, Sallai is one of the candidates who should, on paper, fit right into his role and thrive under Farke, especially if he drops down from the Bundesliga.

The 26-year-old has excelled in Germany's top flight, stealing the show for Freiburg at times, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in all competitions last season. Described as “decided” by former Freiburg manager Christian Streich, Sallai could still get a chance to pick up where he left off at Euro 2024 in the Championship this season.

Compared to Benson and Forbes, Sallai has more experience at the top level, playing in the Europa League last season. Of course, that means his signature may come at a price, but Frieburg's reported change of status may just open the door for Leeds to land a cheaper deal.

If it's going to be Hungarian and Ramazani, Sallai will be one to watch this season.
