PING has revealed the official Solheim Cup 2024 team uniforms that will be worn by cup holders Team Europe at the next event at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia in September.
The clothes are available to buy online exclusively at www.pingeurope.com from today (August 23).
Following the successful partnership in 2021 and 2023, the European Solheim Cup team will once again be dressed head to toe in PING apparel.
The first day of the official uniform takes on a classic European feel, featuring a bright shade of blue with a white base and yellow accents throughout. Making a bold statement on the first tee, both the polo shirt and the mid-layer create a statement with a sporty line drawing on the sleeves that includes European stars within the pattern. New to the uniform this year is a white knitted hooded jacket with 'Team Europe' printed down the right sleeve.
The second-day design features reversible star tape detailing on the arms, bringing a clean, sporty look to these performance-driven garments. Players will be able to combine a championship hat or bucket hat to complete the outfit – both with a central Solheim Cup logo and a successful shade of metallic gold around the green 'Team Europe' band.
To finish off the week, the Sunday uniform sees a polo shirt and waistcoat in the center with a striking yellow star detail on the back. In all the clothes, the yellow trims are visible on the zips – under the plugs, collars and pockets.
Commenting on the designs, PING's Global Creative Director, Fiona Reilly, said: “PING's design and development team worked closely with Team Europe captain Suzann Pettersen to ensure that the uniforms will inspire and make athletes feel proud to represent Europe .
“Making sure the clothes look good and beautiful is very important. The feedback we've had from the team over the past few years has always been very positive, with comments on how comfortable the fabrics are.
“We are delighted to see the team wearing this year's uniforms, with all styles bearing the Team Europe logo – the three stars representing Team Europe's three consecutive victories. There is also a small star in the letter 'O' of the word 'Europe' to help motivate the team to hunt for a record fourth consecutive victory.”
