The 49ers are eyeing a £60,000-p/w loan for the Leeds forward in 2023

At the end of the window, 49ers Enterprises are now reportedly eyeing a move to sign the Premier League striker who knocked Leeds United out of the FA Cup in 2023.

Leeds transfer news

Given how thin their squad has been this summer, it's no surprise to see Leeds spend the transfer window looking for attacking options, with the likes of Manuel Benson and, most recently, Largie Ramazani linked. The UD Almeria star will move to Elland Road after Leeds reached an agreement with the Spanish club before booking a medical, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Even after the win, however, the Yorkshire club are unlikely to be primed for a transfer, having lost Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter to West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion respectively this summer.

According to Sport 5 in Israel, the 49ers are looking to make a late loan move to sign Tottenham Hotspur's Manor Solomon from Leeds before the transfer window closes in a week's time.

It is reported that the door has been opened for the midfielder to be loaned to the Lilywhites this summer following the disappointment of his debut campaign last week, which was hampered by injury.

The player is reportedly determined to move to Elland Road before the end of the month.

If he is looking to recapture the form that saw him move to Spurs in the first place, where he earns £60,000-a-week, Elland Road could be the perfect place. In need of another striker, the 25-year-old can still move up in the transfer window.

Leeds, of course, have already seen his quality firsthand, when Solomon's goal sent them out of the FA Cup with a 2-0 defeat against Fulham in 2023, and Alan Shearer presented him with the Man of the Match award.

“Determinant” Solomon will soften the blow of Summerville

Although he has not yet been given the opportunity to play in North London, Solomon showed all he can do when he was loaned to Fulham from Shakhtar Donetsk before he chose Spurs permanently. It was at Craven Cottage in 2023 that the defender stole the headlines by scoring a goal and playing Leeds to advance to the FA Cup.

Building a reputation for such goals, Solomon was quickly praised by Fulham manager Marco Silva, who said via BBC Sport: “He was a player with a destiny for us.

“Like Willian, Bobby [Decordova-Reid]and two others are waiting for an opportunity [Dan James, Harry Wilson]. You are really important to us. But I have to repeat that the other two are doing very well. ”

Therefore, if Leeds want to replace Summerville this season, signing Solomon on loan could turn out to be a smart move, given the quality of the player the winger is when he is ready and firing.
