The Jones Rover Carry Bag is the go-to for the “Emergency Nine.”

I'm a big fan of the afternoon “emergency nine” with nothing but a few clubs, a few golf balls and a lightweight golf bag. This year, I had the perfect companion.

I picked up a Jones Rover Carry bag late last year and it has been a mainstay in my car, ready to go when called upon ever since.

And right now, you can get the Jones Rover R Carry bag for a steal, $70 off for just $145 at FairwayJockey.com. This bag normally retails for $215 and all four colors in the Fairway Jockey (black, charcoal, mud green and la creme) are all part of the sale.

Perfectly designed to meet the needs of today's golfer, the Rover combines tradition with modernity. It includes options like Jones' iconic single strap or double strap, ample storage with a large belly bag and a sealed drink pouch, and extra features like heavy-duty D-rings, a quick-access Velcro glove patch, and a sleeve your mesh. A Bluetooth speaker, the Rover has everything you need. Whether you're a purist who enjoys sporting heritage or a modern gamer who appreciates the latest technology, Rover lets you focus solely on the joy of the game. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, this bag is designed with you in mind.

This carry bag has become a favorite of mine for many reasons, but mainly because of the two strap system that allows me to comfortably carry it in the same way as my regular standing bag. No more deciding if I want to use a carry bag and then reaching for the missing left belt.

At just 3.8 lbs I don't have the power to throw 4, 5, 6 or 7 clubs at nine o'clock, but the bag is big enough for your entire set if you just want a light load for a full round.

I currently keep the Rover bag in my trunk as a companion to my Rover Stand bag as it takes up less space and can be used quickly by throwing a few clubs and heading to the tee. It's also a great bag to use with new players in the game as it's very easy to carry, especially for a few clubs.

You also have the bonus of a cooler pocket on the back of the bag that can easily hold my 32 oz water bottle or ice and a few cold drinks of your choice.

And in case you need to bring a jacket or sweatshirt, the bottom pocket is big enough for a full rain suit.
