Real Madrid youngster Endrick impresses Ancelotti but Mbappe fails to open league account
Carlo Ancelotti was impressed by the impact of Endrick, who scored on his Real Madrid debut in a 3-0 win over Valladolid this afternoon.
The former Palmeiras forward had to wait 10 months to play for Los Blancos due to FIFA rules on young players transferred from abroad but he struck with an injury-time goal to give Madrid a less convincing win than the scoreline suggested.

The champions were held by Valladolid until the 50th minute when Federico Valverde blocked the goal in the net with a shot that was very bent. Brahim Diaz grabbed the second two minutes from time before Endrick, who had replaced Kylian Mbappe 10 minutes earlier, added another touch of brilliance.
Ancelotti said of the Brazilian: “He looks good. He has great energy, and with a goal, he showed all his qualities. You have good control, and good shooting.
“He is a penalty box forward. In small spaces he is very dangerous.”
Endrick's late exit meant he stole the headlines from Mbappe, who struggled on his league debut.
The France captain has now failed to score in either of Madrid's first two league games but Ancelotti was unconcerned and defended his decision to use Mbappe at the heart of a three-man attack.
“[Mbappé] he is an amazing player, he is fast, he moves well without the ball,” said the Italian player.
“He got three chances. I think in that situation he will score as he always scores. I don't think he should play left or right. He will score goals.”
