Nayef Aguerd of West Ham refused to be loaned to the Bundesliga

West Ham defender Nayef Aguerd has turned down a loan move to an unnamed Bundesliga club, according to reports.

The Hammers, who recorded their first win of the season on Saturday against Crystal Palace, have had a busy summer with many new faces as they look to rebuild Julen Lopetegui's squad.

The London Stadium property will be busy in the final days of the window with arrivals and departures.

Aguerd refuses to go to the Bundesliga

The Hammers are looking to bring in Paris Saint Germain midfielder Carlos Soler before Friday's deadline but the focus is reportedly on raising funds before any further signings are made.

West Ham captain Kurt Zouma, believed to be one of the club's highest paid players, is set to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Orobah after a move to the United Arab Emirates collapsed earlier this summer following failed medicals.

Zouma's departure will reduce the wage bill, while the Hammers are also thought to want to continue with Aguerd and The Guardian reported that the Moroccan player has rejected a loan deal with an unnamed Bundesliga club.

West Ham are trying to move Aguard this summer.

The report added that the deal would have been a loan with an option to buy but the 28-year-old's wages, believed to be in the region of £90,000-a-week make a sale difficult.

Aguerd, who arrived from French club Rennes for £28m two years ago, was not in Palace's matchday squad and is believed to have attracted attention from the Middle East.

West Ham have strengthened their defense this summer with the arrivals of Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo, but there is no guarantee they will be able to continue with Aguerd.

The Moroccan-born player has played 58 games for the club and was part of the team that famously won the Europa Conference League under David Moyes, but his days at the London Stadium appear to be numbered.
