Kyrie Set To Release ANTA 1 'Kaileidoscope' Colorway Signature Shoe

Dallas star Kyrie Irving releases a new colorway of the ANTA 1 and it might just be the coolest colorway with the brand yet.

The ANTA KAI 1 debuted in March 2024 as Irving's introduction to his new shoe sponsor, after Nike dropped the athlete when he shared a link to an antisemitic film.

Like the KAI 1's before it, the ANTA 1 'Kaileidoscope' Colorway captures what made Irving's Nike shoes so popular, while staying true to the core principles of Irving's game: power, agility, focus, and speed.

“The 'KAILEIDOSCOPE' colors are a testament to Kyrie's game – constantly changing, endlessly engaging, and always leaving opponents guessing,” said Shaneika Warden, ANTA's color design director.

Designers Jared Subawon and Astin Davis added, “We wanted to capture that energy and bring it to life in this color, allowing fans to experience a piece of Kyrie's creativity every time they lace up.”

The sneakers have a black and silver base, similar to the classic kaleidoscope toy, and a yellow and crimson color on the front.

It also features gradient hues on the tongue and inner liner, echoing the world within a kaleidoscope.

Red logos abound on the sneakers, in keeping with all of Kyrie's and ANTA's previous colorways.

Another reason why Irving's name is in the headlines this week is after former NBA champion Nick Young made an interesting claim.

“[Kyrie Irving] is [Kobe Bryant] to [Steph Curry’s] [Michael Jordan]. People are afraid to say that you are better,” said Young to X.

Young was Curry's teammate and won a championship with the Warriors in 2018.

He was also teammates with Kobe Bryant on the Lakers from 2013-2017 and seems to think he is better than MJ.

So it's hard to know how much weight his opinion holds. But the interesting take is all the same.
