Liverpool bought Chiesa for a bargain price
Liverpool have completed the signing of Federico Chiesa from Juventus and the Italian has signed a long-term deal at Anfield.
The 26-year-old has won 51 caps for the Azzurri but was not part of new Juve boss Thiago Motta's plans this season and was allowed to leave Turin for a fee reported to be around £12million.
Arne Slot becomes the second player to be signed in as many days after the Merseysiders snapped up Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamadashvili from Valencia yesterday.
Chiesa told the club's website: “I am very happy to be a Liverpool player. When Richard Hughes called me and said, 'Do you want to join Liverpool?' – and the coach called me – I immediately agreed because I know the history of this club, I know what it stands for to the fans.
“So, I'm really excited and I can't wait to get started.”

Chiesa will add another dimension to an already impressive attacking team at Liverpool that includes the likes of Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo.
He played 131 games for Juventus in four seasons, winning the Coppa Italia twice.
Chiesa, who is the son of former Italy striker Enrico, also played a major role in his country's Euro 2020 success where they beat England in the final at Wembley.
