Chelsea are closing in on signing the 24-year-old striker from Premier League rivals
Chelsea are closing in on a deal to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United this summer.
The 24-year-old England midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Blues and the two clubs are now closing in on a deal according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Seth.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea decide to sign the player on loan or permanently.
Sancho has struggled for regular game time at Manchester United and spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund. The 24-year-old England international impressed at the German club and helped them reach the UEFA Champions League final.
A move to Chelsea would be an exciting opportunity for him. It will be clear that this player is determined to join this London team. His time in the Premier League has been very difficult so far. There is no doubt that Sancho is a top talent with a bright future. If Chelsea can help him get back to his best form, he could be a long-term asset for them.
Chelsea could use Jadon Sancho
Chelsea are already short of quality wingers who can tackle defenders and create scoring opportunities with pace and intelligence. This England player looks like a good thing if he can be signed for a satisfactory fee. Manchester United paid the player an estimated fee of £73 million, but they will be fully aware that they will not be able to return that kind of money.
It will be interesting to see if they are willing to send him out on loan this summer or sell him permanently at a bargain price. The player has no future at Old Trafford and leaving them permanently would be good for him.
