Chelsea 'reach agreement' to send Trevoh Chalobah on loan to Premier League
Chelsea have agreed to loan defender Trevoh Chalobah to Crystal Palace for the 2024/25 season, according to a report.
Chalobah was one of a number of players, including Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell, to tell the Blues they had found a new club in the final days of the summer transfer window, with his club number already allocated to new signing Joao Felix.
David Ornstein of Athletic says Palace have agreed to offer Chalobah a way out of Stamford Bridge and he will join the Eagles on loan for the remainder of the campaign. Wolves were linked with a deadline day move, but the 25-year-old will move from west London to south London.
Chalobah will undergo a medical examination before being loaned directly to Palace, who will pay the loan for his services.
Oliver Glasner has been on the lookout for reinforcements at full-back following Joachim Andersen's return to Fulham, although Palace have managed to fend off Newcastle United's advances following their strong interest in Marc Guehi.
Palace also announced the signing of defender Maxence Lacroix from Wolfsburg as part of their changes at the back. He joins on a five-year contract and will wear the fifth shirt in his debut.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are also looking to sign striker Jadon Sancho on loan from Manchester United.
