Wycombe Heights Golf Center in Buckinghamshire, owned and managed by Burhill Group Ltd, has announced the appointment of Mark Woods as the club's new general manager.
Woods joins Wycombe Heights with over 15 years of experience in leisure management positions and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service. Woods aims to enhance the reputation of Wycombe Heights as a welcoming and inclusive destination for all golfers, while continuing to recognize BGL's team-wide commitment to sustainability.
Woods commented: “I believe the future of golf lies in taking an inclusive approach that fosters a community and fun atmosphere, while attracting more competitive players to the core of our membership.”

Wycombe Heights has already seen significant improvements in 2024, with recent investments including new boxes on the short course, refurbished bunkers throughout, and clubhouse beautification.
Under Woods' leadership, Wycombe Heights plans to continue investing in the facility in line with BGL's seven-pronged commitment to sustainability: planning, policies and procurement, workforce engagement and golf, climate action, resource conservation, environmental promotion, community empowerment, and tracking and and reporting.
The Wycombe Heights leadership team will continue to review energy efficiency plans, with plans to adopt LED lighting upgrades and explore solar energy options throughout the area.
A pond irrigation system ensures efficient water use, while new wildlife feeding boxes have been introduced to create a welcoming environment for local wildlife.
“My long-term aim is to continue to improve our standards both on and off the course at Wycombe Heights. I will try to embrace the sustainability commitment of the entire group at BGL to ensure that we contribute in a positive way to the local community,” added Woods.
