NBA Insider Recalls Wild Draymond Green's 'Exploration' Story

NBA insider Chris Haynes recalled the hilarious story that Draymond Green wouldn't let him interview any Warriors players and accused him of being a spy.

Haynes did not reveal when this happened, but it may have been between 2015-2018, when the Warriors and Cavs were locked in NBA Finals battles for four straight seasons.

“I'm walking into the locker room for the first time with the Warriors,” Haynes said on the Jefe Island podcast. “Draymond was saying, 'I don't trust you, bro.' I thought you were kidding. He said, 'I don't trust you, brother.' [I asked,] 'What do you mean, you don't trust me?' He said, 'You're a scout for the Cavs. LeBron [James] They sent you here to check on us. We don't mess with you, and Imma make sure no one talks to you.' My brother was dead,” Haynes recalled.

“I'm just a journalist, brother. I don't have a dirty entrance.”

In those glorious years, the Warriors won the championship in 2015, 2017 and 2018, while the Cavs got their only title in 2016, thanks to LeBron James.

Green and LeBron were hardly friends on the court in those days.

However, since 2019, the couple has found a good friendship.

This was at the same time that Draymond signed with Klutch Sports, the same agency that James was signed to and his friend Rich Paul, who owns.

Just last night, the two were hanging out together.

James uploaded a series of photos tagging Paul, Maverick Carter, and Green, the Instagram story captioned, “Was one of those nights @money23green.”

It was quickly shared by Carter who added his caption, “@money23green will NEVER stop dropping hits.”

James then added, “He should be jailed for what he did.”

It wouldn't be surprising to see Draymond end up with the Lakers before his career ends, given the bromance he has with LeBron.
