Juventus confirm Liverpool's exact transfer fee and payment plan for Federico Chiesa

Juventus have confirmed the exact financial details of the signing of Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa.

Liverpool have enjoyed a quiet summer transfer window, with Chiesa the only immediate addition to the squad. Goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili has also agreed to move to Anfield in 2025 after one final season with Valencia.

Chiesa's departure was confirmed earlier this week and Juventus have revealed the fees and figures involved.

“Juventus Football Club SpA announces that an agreement with Liverpool FC to waive the registration rights of Federico Chiesa has been reached in consideration of 12 million euros (£10.1m), payable over four financial years, in addition to turnover. bonuses of up to €3m (£2.5m),” the statement read.

Therefore, Liverpool will pay around £2.5m every year for the next four years, up to a further £2.5m in bonuses which could take the final cost of the deal to just over £12.5m.

Fans will have to wait to see Chiesa in action as manager Arne Slot has admitted that he does not expect the Italian to be fit to face Manchester United on Sunday.

“It's a bigger chance that he won't be in the team on Sunday than he has,” admitted Slot. “If there is an injury in the coming days we may need him, but I don't expect him to be there but I can't guarantee this.”
