Chelsea's highest-paid star is set to hold tough talks with manager Enzo Maresca over his future this week, and could still leave Stamford Bridge, despite the UK transfer window closing last Friday.
Chelsea spend £271 million on 13 players in busy transfer window
Once again, Todd Boehly and BlueCo have shown they are not afraid to spend, having spent around £271 million on 13 new additions, including a reported £51 million move for Brazil star Estevao Willian.
Joao Felix, Mike Penders, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Marc Guiu, Renato Veiga, Estevao, Filip Jorgensen, Tosin Adarabioyo, Aaron Anselmino, Caleb Wiley, Omari Kellyman, Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho all signed up if to Stamford Bridge, and there could be one more.
Chelsea have been in high-profile talks over a deadline day move for Napoli star Victor Osimhen again, who has been waiting for the Blues despite agreeing a lucrative contract with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli.

However, both the Nigerian and Chelsea could not agree on their own, leaving Osimhen in limbo at Napoli, so he now has to wait until January to finally leave Antonio Conte's team.
“Al-Ahli's offer for Osimhen is a salary of 30 million euros for a four-year contract,” wrote reliable journalist Ben Jacobs in X.
“There is €40m in bonuses on top which takes the total package to €160m. Al-Ahli are also preparing to approve a release clause. Osimhen has agreed to the terms but is waiting to see if Chelsea will object. The offer of Al-Ahli to Napoli has been accepted. It's €68m and add-ons taking the total package to close to €80m.”
Although the UK window is officially closed, with no more potential arrivals, it is still possible for a few more Chelsea players to leave in the coming days. The Belgian, Dutch, Saudi, Turkish and Portuguese windows are still open, meaning any interested parties from the aforementioned countries can still do business with west Londoners.
David Datro Fofana is expected to leave Chelsea as one example, according to Fabrizio Romano, and uncertainty still surrounds the future of left-back Ben Chilwell.
Chilwell has scheduled tough talks with Maresca over Chelsea's future
According to GiveMeSport, there is still an opportunity for the £200,000-a-week left-back to close from the coming days in a succession of open windows across Europe.
The England international has been deemed surplus to requirements by Maresca recently, who appear to favor Marc Cucurella as his left-back option for the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
GMS write that Chilwell is set for tough talks with Maresca over his Chelsea future this week, and while he isn't bound to leave just yet, we wouldn't rule out an exit for the 27-year-old.
