There are countless ways you can go wrong in the game of golf, and there are many products that claim to fix these problems. If you're struggling with a piece, there's training help to fix it. Struggling with your grip? Coaching help can fix that, too. No matter how you hit the ball, there is a product out there that promises to help you hit it better.
The problem with the unlimited options in the training aid market is sifting through the garbage. While there may be endless options, they are not all good one. Some products work better than others, and it's important to only use a training tool that has proven to be appropriate.
Early last year, one such product hit the market that has become very popular among recreational players and Tour professionals alike. ProSENDR — the brainchild of top 100 GOLF instructors Sean Foley and David Woods — arrived on the scene last winter, and it's been a hit ever since.
Their 3-in-1 aid focuses on training your mind and hands to work in a coordinated manner, resulting in better ball hitting. And if the user base is any indication, that goal has been a resounding success so far. Pros like Rory McIlroy, Cameron Smith, Phil Mickelson, Justin Thomas, Will Zalatoris and others have all been seen using the product on the range – and continue to find success.
The benefits aren't the only ones in ProSENDR's favor, though. The product has also been great for recreational players as they learn the right positions for their arms and hands to produce high quality shots.
“Obviously, it's gathering other experts,” Woods said. “But for beginners, your hands are everything in the golf swing. Controls the clubface. ProSENDR doesn't force you into a position, it gives you where to go.”
As the ProSENDR brand has continued to grow, so have the offerings from the company. This year, Foley and Woods released Connection Sphere, another skating resource that teaches the basics of audio skating. In addition, the company is starting to offer video tutorials on their website as part of their ProSENDR platform.
“Our plan is to be more than just a training aid company,” Woods said. “We're creating a learning environment for golfers who can't play. The ProSENDR platform will be a community for those who are dedicated to improving their golf skills. Sean and I have a vision for the best practices and look forward to sharing our knowledge and products with other golfers who love the game we all love.”
For many recreational golfers, it can be difficult to identify training aids that really work. But if ProSENDR's talent roster — and recent growth — is any indication, these products are a great place to start.
