His elbow issue was with him throughout 2023-24 and a groin, abdominal injury occurred late last season.

Torey Krug's ankle has caused him a lot of pain for years

Last year was really tough trying to manage the pain level and this summer, I wasn't able to do any of the things I needed to do to prepare for the NHL season. A lot of pain.”
Jeremy Rutherford: Krug said he knew he would need surgery but hoped it would be after he was done playing.
On his future: “We don't really know that. Obviously since I'm out for a year, you can understand that it's a really big surgery that I've had to have … that goes into the mental side of things which has been very difficult for me.”
Just doing everyday things in life with her family was difficult: “I will be able to carry my children up and down the stairs. I can do it some days, but it's hard.”
