Said Anderson: Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand had three surgeries this past season – Elbow (tendon), groin and stomach.
His elbow issue was with him throughout 2023-24 and a groin, abdominal injury occurred late last season.

Torey Krug's ankle has caused him a lot of pain for years
Matthew DeFranks: St. Louis Blues Torey Krug (out for the season) on his broken ankle in 2018: “I've been able to handle it for a long time now. Last year was really tough trying to manage the pain level and this summer, I wasn't able to do any of the things I needed to do to prepare for the NHL season. A lot of pain.”
Jeremy Rutherford: Krug said he knew he would need surgery but hoped it would be after he was done playing.
On his future: “We don't really know that. Obviously since I'm out for a year, you can understand that it's a really big surgery that I've had to have … that goes into the mental side of things which has been very difficult for me.”
Just doing everyday things in life with her family was difficult: “I will be able to carry my children up and down the stairs. I can do it some days, but it's hard.”
Dominik Kubalik returned to Switzerland
Chris Johnston: Former Ottawa Senators forward Dominik Kubalik signed with HC Ambri Piotta in Switzerland. He played with them before spending five years in the NHL.

MoDo is able to sign Mattias Norlinder
Marco D'Amico: The crowdfunding was a success and Mattias Norlinder signed with MoDo for the SHL.
The Montreal Canadiens did not qualify Norlinder and he became a UFA this offseason.
