Titleist has added a new super premium putter to its Scotty Cameron range with the introduction of the Xperimental GOLO 6.2 LTD, a special edition slim mallet crafted with an eye-catching brass finish.
The Xperimental GOLO 6.2 LTD is based on the Super Select GOLO 6 head shape, which offers high stability and MOI, and is precision milled from 303 stainless steel. It features a chromatic bronze finish with asphalt and dirty white accents, and a single anodized aluminum plate. The topline of the putter is hand misted and the face is hand sanded before use.
New chain-link face milling technology delivers a tour-boosting feel, including the smoothness of deeply milled putters and the consistency and response of mid-range offerings.
The Xperimental GOLO 6.2 LTD putter is offered with two custom stainless steel shafts made in 10g, 15g and 20g increments that match the relative putter lengths of 33-, 34- and 35-inches. Plumber neck pipe, paddle style Full Contact grip, stepless steel shaft that rotates the setup.
Speaking about the latest addition to the eponymous range, Scotty Cameron said: “The GOLO 6 putter head size has been in play for a few years, and as other tour pros embrace this compact mallet design, it's moving into prototype. section to test different neck and finish configurations based on player feedback. The Xperimental GOLO 6.2 LTD is just that: a new design that adds a standard pipe neck, our very popular but rare brass finish, and chain-link face milling.
Austie Rollinson, Titleist's head of putter design, added: “We've been getting requests from tour players for different setups based on the GOLO 6 head size, and after testing the piping neck on this round, compact mallet, we found that players really like the look familiarity from address to help with setup and alignment, and the feel of a reliable neck design. A great putter built to play at the highest levels of our game.”
Xperimental GOLO 6.2 LTD putters will be available at Titleist authorized golf stores starting today [September 27]and have an RRP of £729.
