Golf Business News – Murrayshall is enjoying an increase in membership
Murrayshall Country Estate in Scotland has reported a 16% increase in new members this year and an increase in rounds played after a four-year investment program that has significantly improved the club's facilities and reputation.
Set within 365 acres of stunning Perthshire countryside, Murrayshall offers a unique golfing experience with two parkland golf clubs and a total of 27 holes. Ranked No.34 in the UK & Ireland Top 100 Golf Resorts for National Club Golf and No.11 in Scotland, Murrayshall's championship course has hosted prestigious events such as the Scottish National U16s Championship and the Scottish PGA Pro-Am. These high-profile tournaments solidify their position as golf's premier destination and have increased green money rounds by 15% this year.
A recent investment of £1 million has modernized Murrayshall's championship course with a US-style park layout, improved drainage, refurbished accommodation, and a new set of Jacobsen mowers, all of which have improved course play and extended the playing season.
Plans are also underway to build a new 17-hole golf school and two teaching facilities, improve practice facilities and a pro shop.
Darrin Urquhart Golf Course manager said, “Murrayshall's growth reflects our commitment to quality and community. We focus on both golf and our facilities, and the feedback speaks for itself. Golfers are constantly impressed by the beautiful condition of our greens, and we are the perfect choice for golfers looking for a top-class experience in Scotland.”
General Manager at Murrayshall Country Estate, Gary Silcock said, “Our continued investment in world-class facilities and exceptional service, both on and off the course, is attracting more members and visitors. People are recognizing the exceptional quality and appeal that Murrayshall offers, and we are well positioned to continue this momentum and welcome more golfers who are looking for a premium experience.”
