Jon Rahm's decision to join LIV caused a lot of controversy when he switched to the Rebel Tour in early 2024.

Thanks to the registration, the Spaniard had received dollar signs in front of his eyes although, for a while, the money he received from the school was less than expected.

It took Rahm a while to get up to speed but once he clicked the two-time Major winner filled his boots.

A quick seventh place finish at the Open Championship at Royal Troon in Scotland proved that LIV's first win was close at hand and he duly delivered when he crossed the border to host the LIV Golf UK event at JCB Golf and Country Club in Staffordshire.

After a fifth at the Olympics at Le Golf National where he let go of a good chance to win gold by falling on the back nine, Rahm returned to second place at the LIV Golf Greenbrier.

But it was at LIV Golf Chicago that he really made his mark.

Not only did Rahm win the event, he pocketed the $4 million first prize, and his win in Chicago earned him a hefty bonus.

That win saw Rahm top the salary list with $16,754,488 and for that he was awarded a hefty $18million bonus.

That took his total earnings in his first season to $34,754,821.

A total of 18 players have banked $5 million or more.
