Mike Weir's international team is completely outmatched in this week's Presidents Cup at the Royal Montreal Golf Club after losing the first session 5-0.
There have been 14 editions of the Cup and the international ones have lost 12 of them.
Worse, they've lost all of their last nine and now it's looking like 10.
Weir needs to boost the confidence of his 12 players and improve their playing techniques.
But how can we improve our ability to win head-to-head duels on the golf course?
PGA pros Andy Proudman and Piers Ward, better known as MeAndMyGolf, England coach Aaron Rai are set to make their Ryder Cup debut in Europe next year.
Who better to give top three tips to improve your gaming skills?
In this video a MeAndMyGolf viewer asks: “I play golf to play a lot of games. Can you give me some tips or tactical skills to help me beat my opponent?”
Piers challenges Andy to deliver the tips in 60 seconds and he does just that.
“The first strategy,” said Andy, “is to make sure that if you land badly, we react twice.”
“Either you're laughing or you're not doing anything because the last thing you want to do is react badly when you get shot badly.
“That will give your opponent confidence and that's the last thing you want to do in a game-playing situation. So make sure you practice that.”
The second tip?
He says: “During shooting you have to control your body language.
“Especially if you're playing badly, make sure you're standing well and tall, with your shoulders back, paying attention to what's around you.
“The last thing you want to do is go wrong, with your head down, because that will also give your opponent confidence.”
And the third tip?
He says: “Scare your enemy, but in a good way.”
“When you hole a putt, make sure you show some emotion, passion and actually celebrate.
“This can also affect their confidence and will boost yours.”
