ESPN has suspended Zach Lowe as the network continues its series of cuts before the end of its fiscal year in September. Lowe's salary, which exceeds $1 million a year, was a key factor in ESPN's decision to let him go.
Lowe has been with ESPN for 12 years, initially joining the network through Grantland, where he made a name for himself as a prominent basketball analyst and commentator.
In addition to Lowe's departure, ESPN recently suffered another major loss with the unexpected retirement of Adrian Wojnarowski from their NBA coverage.
