Golf Almerimar's first taste of hosting a top-flight professional tournament was a memorable one, with the Spanish resort providing a battleground between two Legends Tour stars in Adilson Da Silva and Peter Baker.

The tournament attracted a strong field of 60 players, including two-time Masters champion José Maria Olazbal, former US Open champion Michael Campbell, and former Open champion Paul Lawrie.
