Fresh off a Rookie of the Year campaign, WNBA star Caitlin Clark is making the most of her first professional season by pursuing one of her other passions: golf. Last week, he participated in the LPGA Pro-Am. This week, he made a surprise appearance on the PGA Tour.
According to a report from Golf Channel, the current Indiana Fever star and former Iowa Hawkeyes standout will participate in the 2024 RSM Classic's Pro-Am on Wednesday.
Clark is expected to play the back 9 at Sea Island's Plantation Course. He is scheduled to join a team that includes two-time winner and fellow Iowan Zach Johnson and PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan. That team tips off at 8:30 a.m. ET, according to the official RSM Pro-Am sheet.
Last week, Clark talked a lot about appearing in the pro-am on the LPGA's The Annika, starring Nelly Korda and tournament director Annika Soernstam. We learned a lot about Clark's golf game at The Annika, including his current handicap.
This will not be Clark's first time playing in a PGA Tour pro-am. Last year, he combined it in the 2023 John Deere Classic Pro-Am. Johnson played the role of his teammate in that outing.
You can watch highlights of Clark's appearance Wednesday on the Golf Channel at 12pm and 4pm ET.
