The Santos Tour Down Under will feature eight current national champions in the men's and women's 25 pelotons.th Australia's biggest race schedule, and the start of the 2025 road racing season.
Reigning Canadian National Champion Michael Woods returns to the roads of South Australia for the first time since 2019, alongside the Italian National Champion Alberto Bettiol and three-time Australian National Racing Champion (2022-24) Luke Plapp, both are scheduled to make their fifth appearance at the Santos Tour Down Under.
2024 Santos Tour Down Under second place Jonathan Narvaez he will be looking to do better this January following a special 2024 performance in which he won his second Ecuadorian National Road Race Championship and a personal stage at the Giro d'Italia.
Swiss National Champion Mauro Schmid He will qualify for Team Jayco Alula, and the French National Champion Paul Lapeirahe will lead the French team, the Decathlon Ag2R La Mondiale Team.
The women's peloton will have three riders currently wearing their unique national jersey and the Australian National Champion Ruby Roseman-Gannon to be one to keep an eye on, during the 2024 Women's National Champions Come on Wylie(New Zealand) and Noemi Rüegg (Switzerland) will be looking to add to their national achievements.
The men's race will be in the headlines Geraint Thomas again Sam Welsford except for the defending champion Stephen Williams and the 2023 champion Jay Vine.
Other riders on the list include 2014 World Champion and two-time Tour de France stage winner, Michal Kwiatkowski, and the winner of the 2022 Paris – Roubaix, Dylan Van Baarle, both of whom will be making their first Santos Tour Down Under.
Tour de France Reigning Queen of the Mountain Justine Ghekiere will be joined by the 2024 Olympic gold medalist and 2024 UCI World Championships Road Race runner-up Chloe Dygert alongside the 2024 Olympic silver medalist Ally Wollastonhe came back to follow him Stage 1 victory in the Santos Tour Down Under in 2024.

I women's race begins on January 17th with 3 stages followed by the one-day Classic on January 26th.
I the men's race it starts on January 18 with a one-day Classic and then on the 21st, a stage race with six stages in total.
