Arsenal have been linked with the former Utd target

Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow was apparently on Manchester United's radar last summer as a Plan B option should they fail to sign Andre Onana, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Dutchman has impressed during his time in the Eredivisie and Romano has responded that the player has also been linked with Arsenal as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsdale as Mikel Arteta's second-choice goalkeeper.

Specially speaking CaughtOffside in his latest Daily Briefing column, it seems that Romano is currently unaware of anything concrete going on with Bijlow, despite all the transfer rumors from elsewhere.

Bijlow, however, was on Man Utd's radar last summer, so it would be interesting to see if there will be Premier League interest in the 26-year-old again this year, even if nothing happens at the moment.

Euro 2024 is about to start and that could affect some transfers, with players likely to want to focus entirely on their national teams over the next few weeks.

Bijlow transfer: Could former Man United target join Arsenal?

Discussing Bijlow's situation, Romano said: “Feyenoord's goalkeeper Justin Bijlow continues to attract speculation, some fans have been asking me about the latest news involving Arsenal and Liverpool, as perhaps they are two clubs that can make a new backup goalkeeper, especially Arsenal as it is. it looks like Aaron Ramsdale will have a good chance to leave this summer.

“Nevertheless, I have not had anything concrete about this, there is nothing about negotiations or concrete discussions. Bijlow was Man United's plan B for Onana last summer, but it didn't work out then, so let's see if the Premier League clubs come this summer.

United fans may be wondering whether Bijlow will still be fit to follow Onana's poor form in his first season at Old Trafford, although it is likely that Erik ten Hag will give him more time to settle and develop.
