Potential Locations for Buddy Hield – Basketball Insiders

Buddy Hield is expected to receive healthy interest in free agency. He is a player who can fit into almost any scheme with the ability to stretch the floor. Hield is a career three-point shooter of 40.0 percent, which is highly desirable in today's NBA. Despite a short, less-than-stellar stint with the Philadelphia 76ers, the veteran guard will have no options this upcoming free agency. For his career, the veteran guard averaged 15.5 points, 4.2 total rebounds per game, and a field goal percentage of 43.4 percent. With that in mind, here are at least three teams that would be good fits for Buddy Hield.

Potential Freelance Jobs for Sharpshooter, Buddy Hield

The Phoenix Suns

The Suns' lack of depth came back to bite them during last season. While their first rotation was loaded with Kevin Durant, Brandley Beal, and Devin Booker, their second unit was exposed in the first round of the playoffs against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Hield would be a quality addition to the Phoenix second unit. The team still needs a true point guard on its roster but adding a sharpshooter couldn't hurt either. He would provide much-needed shooting and playmaking. The Suns will also give Hield a chance to play meaningful playoff minutes for the first time in his career.

Orlando Magic

If there's a playoff team that needs a shooter the most, it's none other than the Orlando Magic. The Magic were amazing this past regular season, but their youth and lack of intensity hurt them in the Finals. Buddy Hield will provide the Magic with both of these features. Orlando already has plenty of defense, but they need an offensive firepower without Paolo Banchero. Buddy Hield will thrive with this current Orlando team and get plenty of catch-and-shoot opportunities. Mainly Banchero draws two teams down when attacking the basket.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Buddy Hield may be the missing piece on this already talented Minnesota Timberwolves team. With so much money tied up between their three big men in Karl-Anthony Towns, Naz Reid, and Rudy Gobert, the Timberwolves must make a “win now,” move to take advantage of their title window. Hield is at a point in his career where he wants to compete, and the Timberwolves will provide that opportunity. Not to mention, he would give their second unit more depth. Considering all of this, these three teams would be the best fit for Buddy Hield this upcoming free agency.
