Birmingham City are thought to be one of the clubs leading the race to sign the £300,000+ player, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Birmingham have appointed Chris Davies as their new manager
The Blues finally appointed a new manager to replace Tony Mowbray earlier this month, with Chris Davies leaving his role as Tottenham Hotspur assistant to take over at St Andrews. Speaking to the media after joining, Davies said:
“It's been a few years since I've been ready to be a manager. I've always felt like a manager, like a leader. I've had a lot of work in big teams and managers I've worked with. Now I have a lot of responsibility in big teams and managers I've worked with. I'm a decision maker and the buck stops with me but I prefer that.
“It was about the right club, the right time and the right time. I already had a good career at a big club, but my deep feeling was that this was the club that showed my desire. I was over in the Maldives with my family when all this happened, but these kinds of opportunities are important to seize.”

Birmingham City will look to make a number of new signings to try and return to the Championship.
Recently relegated Birmingham, backed by Tom Wagner and Tom Brady's Knighthead side, will look to win promotion out of League One at the first time of asking. To do so, new players could be targeted ahead of Davies' first campaign as manager, and from the looks of it, the club are looking to make a difference in the transfer window.
Birmingham “leading” the race to transfer Marc Leonard
According to Romano, Birmingham are one of three “leading” clubs in the race to sign Brighton & Hove Albion's Marc Leonard. The Blues have been joined by Championship side Oxford United and new League One rivals Wrexham for Leonard, who could cost more than £300,000 if add-ons are included.
The 22-year-old moved to Brighton from Hearts as a teenager in 2018, making his first appearance for their U18s before moving up to the U23s and making two first-team appearances for the Seagulls.
Leonard has had a two-month loan spell with Northampton Town, where he has played 97 games for the club, scoring six goals and registering seven assists. He won Northampton's Player of the Season for the 2023/24 campaign, collecting 80% of the vote, while also picking up the Players' Player of the Season award.
His long-term future may now be away from Brighton following an impressive loan spell with Northampton, and from the looks of it, Birmingham are keen to bring him to the Midlands and potentially make him a key part of their plans under Davies.
