DeAndre Jordan reacts to JJ Redick becoming the head coach of the Lakers

Denver Nuggets center DeAndre Jordan shared his thoughts on former Los Angeles Clippers teammate JJ Redick becoming the new Lakers coach during an appearance on Podcast P with Paul George Presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment.

Jordan admitted that there are challenges in entering the coaching position, he said, “I think in my opinion no coach is ready to be a coach when the time is right. You get baptized with fire and you just walk away.”

He expressed confidence in Redick's abilities, highlighting his intelligence and communication skills, and said, “I believe that JJ is a smart guy, he knows the game, he has experience and he knows how to communicate with different players with different backgrounds and different skills.”

Jordan noted the high expectations associated with the Lakers coaching position, commenting, “The Lakers job is a tough job in my opinion.
