The Euro 2024 draw for the last 16 has been confirmed

England will face Slovakia in the Last 16 of Euro 2024, while top-flight Spain against the young men of Georgia is perhaps the one chosen to meet in the first round of the knockout stages of the tournament.

France will face Belgium again, while hosts Germany made light work of the group stage in front of their home fans and now have the task of overcoming a potentially dangerous Denmark side.

Germany and Spain are on course for a quarter-final clash if both progress. Portugal will not want to dwell on their last group stage defeat to Georgia as they prepare to face Slovenia.

The group stage results made one of the knockout brackets the tightest on paper, with Germany, Spain, Portugal, France and Belgium all tied together. Meanwhile, England and reigning champions Italy are the only 'big' nations in the competition.

If England succeeds in its first playoff match, the winner of Italy and Switzerland awaits in the quarter-finals. It's also like Romania and Austria going further than many predicted before the tournament started, there are great ways ahead.

Romania will face the Netherlands in their first play-off match in 24 years. For Ralf Rangnick's Austria, a fascinating meeting with Turkey now awaits.

All last 16 matches will be played over four days between 29 June and 2 July.
