Jude Bellingham learns the fate of the Euro 2024 ban after the UEFA investigation

England midfielder Jude Bellingham is free to play in their Euro 2024 home game against Switzerland after UEFA opted to hand the Real Madrid star a one-match ban.

Bellingham was investigated after he appeared to point towards the Slovakian bench during the last 16 clash between the two countries, and the 21-year-old insisted he was not trying to disrespect his opponents heading into the tournament. 'inside joke' with friends in the stands.

UEFA have confirmed they have punished Bellingham with a €30,000 (£25,400) fine and a one-match ban which will only be triggered if the midfielder commits a similar breach in the next 12 months.

It means Bellingham is free to play for England in Saturday's quarter-final against Switzerland, which is a huge boost to manager Gareth Southgate's promotion hopes.
