The striker turned down Leeds United to join Leicester

Leeds United were beaten by their rivals Leicester City in their promotion to the Premier League last season in the Championship.

The Foxes managed to win the Championship title with Ipswich Town finishing second and Leeds United missing out on the automatic promotion spot by finishing third.

The Premier League side could now inflict more pain on Leeds United by signing their transfer target this summer.

The Daily Telegraph claims that Bobby De Cordova-Reid, a free agent target for Leeds United, is expected to be secured by Leicester City.

Leeds were rumored to be interested in winning the battle to sign De Cordova-Reid after he rejected Fulham's extension offer.

However, the Whites lost out on signing the player who will become Leicester City's second player in the summer after Chelsea's Michael Golding.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid is leaving Fulham to join Leicester City, having turned down a move to Leeds United.

The Foxes have managed to sign an experienced striker in the Premier League who can play in a number of attacking positions.

Leeds United were again attacked by Leicester

Following the departure of Enzo Maresca to Chelsea this summer, Leicester were expected to endure a difficult summer transfer window.

Now, after the arrival of new manager Steve Cooper, they have managed to turn things around in the transfer market and would hope to do the same in the Premier League next season.

For Leeds, it doesn't look promising as after Archie Gray's departure to Tottenham, Crysencio Summerville has been linked with a move away from the club as the Premier League could be his next destination.
