Thiago Almada's best goals for Atlanta United

A special player like Thiago Almada has a catalog of special goals during his time with Atlanta United in Major League Soccer.

The 2022 World Cup winner stole the show during his time in Atlanta with spectacular free kicks, long-range golazos and individual goals where he put the team on his back. Almada is set to shine in Europe after his transfer to Botafogo was confirmed, and has undoubtedly left his mark on Major League Soccer by striking fear into the hearts of opposition defenders and goalkeepers.

Here are five of Thiago Almada's best goals in an Atlanta United shirt.

In Almada's second-to-last appearance in Atlanta, he made sure he did everything he could to propel the Five Stripes to success with this incredible solo run.

After receiving the ball near the touchline, the Argentine danced between would-be defenders in the DC United midfield and defense before curling home a long-range effort to seal the three points for Atlanta.

Atlanta's opening game of the 2023 MLS season was full of drama, chaos and most importantly, three points for the 2018 MLS Cup winners.

It was Almada who was at the center of it all in stoppage time, as the striker leveled in the 93rd minute before putting the team ahead minutes later.

Just a few minutes after hitting the top corner with a corner kick, Almada took what could have been considered a lot of pressure on his shoulders.

Former Velez Sarsfield stepped up and slotted the free kick into the top corner, wrapping up all three points in style for Atlanta to kick off the 2023 campaign.

Almada's first goal for the Five Stripes was recently named the MLS goal of the week during a 3-3 draw with CF Montreal in 2022, his first season in the league.

It was certainly a way for the versatile forward to score his first goal for Atlanta as he would go on to rack up numerous long-range efforts during his time at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Almada's free kick vs Portland Timbers last season is something out of this world.

Many in the house probably didn't think Almada would be able to pose a threat from this far — but apparently not. Almada would go on to return another goal and two assists as Atlanta beat the Timbers 5-1.
