Amen Thompson: It was nice to be chosen to come out here. Playing and competing against the best, it was a pleasure.

AT: I didn't get too many tips but I looked them up and noticed. Watching LeBron [James] and see how he helps as a senior guard, some of the things I've been looking at.

AT: Just take it a day at a time. It's your first game, so you think to do a lot and sometimes it doesn't happen that way. It's 82 games, so take it one game at a time, but my last game I had my best game of the year.

AT: He is like other coaches I have had in the past. The unique thing about him is that he can join the crowd with us, as if he is a player. I have never had a coach who played in the NBA. When he speaks, I have to listen because he has been there for a long time. You are logically difficult for everyone. He's not crazy, but he's mentally tough.

AT: DB, he's the coolest. I was surprised, to be honest. You are the coolest person ever. It's really cool. He works hard at everything. You prepare for games like you prepare for war, so I see you in that aspect. Coolest dude for real.

AT: Just do something every day. If that's not basketball, work on your body. He is great at that. He does that every day.

David Reginek-USA TODAY Sports

AT: Trust yourself. Be sure of what you can do. Go ahead and stay confident.

AT: Cam Whitmore. He is unintentionally funny.

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

AT: Nah. [Laughing] He's funny tho, he must be very funny.

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

AT: To him? Nah. Because I know how good he is, I know where he's going to be later, so there's no point in riding him.

Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

AT: Both of them but I always say that I am better than him no matter what happens. He can win MVP, and I'm better than him.
