Golf Business News – IR&A and Toptracer in 5-year strategic partnership

Toptracer, the world's leading technology company, has announced a five-year partnership with The R&A for The Open and AIG Women's Open.

The agreement will see Toptracer deliver new innovations in unique ways for fans to engage with the game locally at tournaments and when participating in golf facilities using Toptracer technology.

The scope of the partnership will be on full display during The 152n.d Opened at Royal Troon. New this year is a unique partnership that allows Toptracer to integrate its new in-house technology with Foresight Sports—the industry leader in implementing monitoring technology—in the R&A Swing Zone for spectators to enjoy and preview. In addition, this new product will be shown inside the official visitors of the Championship.

As the Official Ball Tracking Provider, Toptracer will continue to provide tracking technology at The Open and AIG Women's Open. Powered on the Championship driving range is Toptracer's 'Tournament Range', a technology that instantly displays trajectories with associated data points such as travel distance, ball speed and launch angle. This will be shown on a large LED screen visible to all on-site spectators and will now be available at both Championships, adding reliable data for competitors in the field and improved interaction for spectators and TV viewers alike.

At The Open site and at more than 1,000 Toptracer Ranges around the world, golfers will have the opportunity to experience Royal Troon in Virtual Golf mode, and join the global 'Closest to Pin' competition at Toptracer Ranges, inspired by celebrities around the world.
