Coming up on August 3rd from BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California, in a championship bout to be broadcast on DAZN PPV – WBA junior middleweight champion Israel 'The Dream' Madrimov will defend his title against Terence 'Bud' Crawford.
Crawford is widely considered the greatest pound for pound boxer competing today, and for good reason! Crawford's record stands at a perfect 40-0 with 31 wins coming by knockout. Bud is a 3-division world champion, winning championships at lightweight, junior welter, and welterweight. More impressively, Crawford became the first undisputed champion at 140 and 147 in the modern 4-belt era, and the first boxer to become an undisputed 2-division world champion in the modern 4-belt era. For Crawford, this fight represents an opportunity for him to become a 4-division world champion.
On the other hand Madrimov is not well known and has very little experience. His professional record stands at 10-0-1 with 7 wins coming by way of knockout. And while Crawford has won all 18 of his title fights to date, Madrimov has only had one championship fight, which came in his last fight in March, against Magomed 'Black Lion' Kurbanov, which was a vacant title. WBA belt.
