Turki Aalshikh tweets that Crawford-Ennis is here

IT'S been minutes after Jaron Ennis beat David Avanesyan, as expected, before he responded about who or what might be next for the IBF welterweight champion. It was Ennis' first proper title defense, the first fight under new promoter Eddie Hearn and the first time in six years that he fought in his hometown of Philadelphia.

Both Ennis and Hearn have their hearts set on a clash with Terence Crawford, the man who threw the entire IBF title at 'Boots' in the first place.

Hearn hinted that Crawford will lose to Israel Madrimov on August 3. Eddie is promoting Madrimov, so he can say that. Believe it or not, fighting Crawford is always at the top of a few players' shopping lists.

Most of these battles are always in the sky, they are dream situations. That was until the Saudi Arabian sports team, led by Turki Alalahsikh, got into boxing.

Suddenly, money has become less of an obstacle and, often, the wars we want start. Turki is friends with Hearn and his domestic rival-turned-lover Frank Warren.

As soon as Ennis mentioned Crawford's name, Alalshikh entered X to give his seal of approval, later calling Eddie and Jaron to confirm his interest in doing battle.

'Honourable' covers many bases. Previously, he expressed a desire to see Crawford move up in weight and challenge Canelo. Either way, Crawford now has options backed by money. He needs to go through Madrimov first and decide which check he wants to issue.
