Exclusive: Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United interested in £55million move for midfielder

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all showing interest in Brighton youngster Carlos Baleba ahead of the summer transfer window.

Sources familiar with the situation have informed CaughtOffside that Baleba is on the radar of all three Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd as they look for new midfielders this summer, and Brighton could be ready to listen to offers of around £55million.

Baleba joined Brighton last year, but in a short time the 20-year-old has established himself as a key player in Roberto De Zerbi's side, suggesting he could be the next Seagulls signing.

We've seen six Premier League attacks for Brighton in the likes of Moises Caicedo, Alexis Mac Allister and Leandro Trossard in recent times, while Baleba looks set to sign for a number of top clubs.

We know Arsenal need a midfielder and big names like Douglas Luiz and Martin Zubimendi are understood to be still on their radar, but could Baleba be a cheap alternative? £55m looks like a good price and could be worth half of what Aston Villa would sell Luiz for.

However, Zubimendi has publicly spoken about being happy at Real Sociedad despite being wanted by Arsenal, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, so it remains to be seen if he will be available soon.

Baleba would be a good option for Liverpool, who would do well to renew their midfield again after a difficult season, even if they made a number of changes by bringing in four new players in that position last summer.

United, on the other hand, perhaps need someone like Baleba more, with the Red Devils carrying a number of aging and underperforming players in the middle of the park such as Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, while loan signing Sofyan Amrabat will not stay at Old. Trafford is permanent, returning to parent club Fiorentina at the end of this season.
