GASGAS may not be a name you've heard in the bicycle industry. Spanish motorcycle and e-bike brand GASGAS has made it to our shores down under and we're very excited to have one of their bikes tested!
GASGAS brings a range of bikes to Australia to accommodate a wide range of riders including enduro all mountain and trail options. Let's take a closer look at their biggest hitters in the range: the all-mountain and enduro series.
ALL MOUNTAIN: MXC and MXA
The MXC series is an all mountain carbon frame built all mountain bike with 160/140mm travel and mullet 29”/27.5” suspension. Unlike most brands GASGAS has specific size rear ends for more controllability and all three models have SRAM's 630Wh Eagle Powertrain (the first to hit our shores!) While the MXC6 and MXC5 feature DVO Onyxand Topaz suspension the MXC4 features a -RockShox Lyrik Select+ and Deluxe Select+
GASGAS also has an MXA3 alloy 29” all mountain bike with 150/140mm travel and Fox Float 38 Factory fork with Fox Float X Factory air shock and Yamaha PW-X3 motor.
The MXC/MXA series is available in three sizes: S/MM/L and L/XL
MXC6: $15199 (DVO SRAM XO Eagle)
MXC5: $13599 (DVO SRAM GX Eagle)
MXC4: $11499 (RockShox SRAM SX/GX)
MXA3: $8999 (Fox SRAM GX)
ENDURO: ECC and ECA
The ECC is a GASGAS 29” E Enduro bike ridden by their EDR sponsored riders. Once again with a full carbon frame and specific size at the rear it keeps the ECC sports 170/160mm travel SRAM Eagle Powertrain and ECC 5 and 6 sports DVO suspension while the ECC 4 is specified with RockShox.
Similar to All Mountain' MXA3 series the ECA3 is an alloy frame enduro bike with a 170mm FOX Float 38 Factory fork and FOX Float X Factory air shock Yamaha PW-X3 motor and GX Eagle drivetrain.
