2024 Zurich Classic purse: Payout information, winner's share

The Zurich Classic occupies a unique position on the PGA Tour schedule. It's the team's only event of the year, and that means there are several features that set it apart from playing for each medal.

Although the winning team is still entitled to PGA Tour exemptions and FedEx points, no world class points are awarded for the tournament. The prize money is also odd, with the winning team splitting the money usually reserved for first and second place, the second place team splitting the money between third and fourth place, and so on.

This week, there is an $8.9 million purse up for grabs, and $1.268 million will be awarded to each player on the winning team. The second cut is even better, with $525,100 for each player on the runner-up team. (Compare that to last week's Signature Event purse at Hilton Head, where every player in the top 10 made $541,000 or more.)

To clear six figures in New Orleans this week, players will have to finish in the top 11.
