Julian Alvarez clarifies comments on Man City's exit after Pep Guardiola's response

Julian Alvarez insisted that he is always happy with life at Manchester City following the comments of manager Pep Guardiola about his future in the club.

Alvarez recently admitted he still needs to think about his future with City after being disappointed by his lack of minutes in the big games, prompting Guardiola to urge the 24-year-old to come to an end soon.

After Argentina's victory over Ukraine at the Olympic Games in Paris, Alvarez was asked another answer to Guardiola's comments and took the opportunity to try to calm the growing uncertainty.

“I heard what Guardiola said,” he said TyC Sports. “I don't have much to say about it.

“I never said anything bad. I just said that I will think about it as I do every season to analyze what happened last season, the predictions that may happen. I always say that I am free and happy when I play last season. City, which is a big club, I did not say anything bad.

However, Athletic recently reported that Alvarez wants to leave City due to his reduced role in the team behind star striker Erling Haaland.

Chelsea have been linked with Alvarez, but the Argentine and his family are believed to be keen on leaving England for a warmer climate.

Paris Saint-Germain are said to be offering Alvarez a move to France, while Spanish club Atletico Madrid are known to be interested.

Guardiola is always willing to let any players who express a desire to leave leave, but only if City receive a fair bid for his services. A price in excess of £70m is believed to have been placed on Alvarez's head.
