Man United are planning a trial for the club they want ahead of the Community Shield

Man United reportedly want Noussair Mazraoui to be revealed early in the Community Shield.

This is according to transfer reporter Santi Aouna, who says the Red Devils are close to signing the Moroccan defender on a six-year contract.

Although the details of the deal have yet to be agreed, Mazraoui, 26, is scheduled to fly to Manchester on a private jet on Tuesday to complete a test.

Noussair Mazraoui is closing in on a Man United move.

He will replace West Ham-bound Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and the 26-year-old, assuming there are no hiccups of late, is expected to become Erik Ten Hag's third summer signing after striker Joshua Zirkzee and centre-back Leny Yoro.

During his two years at Bayern, Mazraoui, who worked under Ten Hag while at Ajax, contributed nine goals in 55 appearances in all competitions.

Will Matthias De Ligt follow Noussair Mazraoui at Man United?

A busy transfer window for the Red Devils is led by new owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and new sporting director Dan Ashworth. The pair appear to be working on multiple deals at the same time, including Matthias De Ligt, also from Bayern Munich.

United are keen on De Ligt after Yoro picked up a foot injury in pre-season and is expected to miss the first few months of the season.

United's pre-season will conclude with tomorrow morning's friendly against Liverpool before the team prepare to face rivals Manchester City in the 2024 Community Shield on Saturday 10 August – a game Ten Hag hopes Mazraoui will attend.
