Evan Fournier sounds out of place with the French game plan
After three quarters, Franz Wagner and Dennis Schroder had scored more points than the entire French national team combined (47 vs. 46). In the end, both finished the game with 26 points apiece. “When you play badly, it's very difficult, obviously,” Fournier told Yoann Ohnona of L'Equipe about stopping the two German stars. “You can't let their two best players get half the points. It's impossible. When we play they don't allow the best players to express themselves. They were better in their execution, they set their style of play, and what they want to do to us.”
